ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
This advanced course highlights the importance of high-performance team dynamics and communication, systems of care, recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, immediate post-cardiac arrest, acute dysrhythmia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes. This course builds on the foundation of lifesaving basic life support (BLS) skills, emphasizing the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR.
Designed for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies.
This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care, and critical care units such as physicians, nurses, and paramedics, as well as others who need an ACLS course completion card for job or other requirements.
ACLS Pre-course Self-Assessment: REQUIRED All students must complete the Pre-course Self-Assessment prior to class
ACLS Pre-course Self-Assessment Required! (must pass with score of 84% or higher), to help them successfully complete the course. All students must complete the Pre-course Self-Assessment prior to class. Print your report and bring to class.

Successful completion: For successful course completion, students must demonstrate skills competency in all learning stations, pass the high-quality BLS skills test, bag-mask ventilation with OPA/NPA insertion skills test, and the Megacode test.
*Students must pass the ACLS exam with a score of 84% or higher. Upon successful completion, students receive an ACLS course completion ecard

Blended learning is a combination of eLearning, in which a student completes part of the course in a self-directed manner, followed by a hands-on session.
Part 1: A self paced (6.5 to 7 hour in length) comprehensive eLearning program that uses e Simulation technology to allow students to assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings.
To enter the course, students must complete a Pre Course self-assessment. Students will then be presented with a team dynamics lesson and 10 in-hospital patient cases, including a BLS case and 2 mega code cases. The cases may be repeated as many times as necessary to pass.

Part 2&3: You will attend an Instructor-led, for successful course completion, students must demonstrate skills competency in all learning stations, pass the high-quality BLS skills test, bag-mask ventilation with OPA/NPA insertion skills test, and the Mega code test.
